Current Paintings in Progress
I'm coming back on my hiatus from my first year of teaching art, and have several works in progress. Though I am busy as ever, I am trying to get on a regular painting and posting schedule again. Here is a glimpse of what I am working on now:
I am a landscape painter of the East Coast, based in Northern Virginia. I paint local scenes from the Mid-Atlantic region and from my summers in New England. For my oil paintings, I paint both en plein air and in the studio to achieve the semi-abstract representation of the landscape as I see it and as I feel it.
This blog showcases my paintings as I work on them and as I look back on them, techniques, inspirations, events, and snapshots of the stunning American landscape.
This is stunning!
